Postcard

An early postcard, possibly from the 1920s, showing the ostentatious facade of the theatre. Note the original arcades forming the main entrance portal to the front-of-house. These classical arches were a trademark of George Bond's buildings with striking parallels included on the nearby Chatham Town Hall, another of Bond's building achievements; still in use as The Brook Theatre and Arts Centre.
